Sony Music Entertainment Germany has acquired a stake in Tiger Media International GmbH, thus establishing what it claims to be a long-term strategic partnership in the children’s entertainment market.
Tiger Media has developed TIGERBOX, a loudspeaker box that plays children’s radio plays – performances with actors telling stories, which Sony Music Entertainment Germany also publishes on its EUROPA label.
As part of the agreement, Sony Music will continue to sell its EUROPA label children’s content by April 1.
This culminates in the fact that TIGERTONES customers are provided with over 10,000 titles, which are described as “the largest content offering in the field of children’s loudspeakers worldwide”.
In addition to the “child-friendly” speaker box and the touchscreen called TIGERBOX, Tiger Media offers its own streaming service TIGERTONES.
In addition, music can be purchased through physical collectibles called TIGERCARDS.
