New Research Highlights Key Developments and Traits in Viral TikTok Content material [Infographic]

What works on TikTok and what elements should you focus on in your TikTok content approach?

The best answer is organic content as TikTok users are more responsive to ads and campaigns that match the presentation styles and formats of the user clips in the app. But if you’re looking to dig a little deeper – which no doubt many brands will be doing this holiday season – this new study from the SEMRush team might help.

To gain a better understanding of TikTok users’ reactions, SEMRush conducted an analysis of 300 of the most popular TikTok clips to measure what common elements are in each and what impact they might have including certain hashtags and keywords (note : TikTok stated this before.) Adding tags like ‘ForYou’ and ‘FYP’ does not affect the reach) and among other things the variance in engagement between verified and unverified users.

The results could help you develop a better approach to TikTok – and while the real answer is to learn the platform and understand how TikTok users interact, these notes could contain some valuable pointers.
