Natalie Waller elected Chair of Australia’s ARIA

Natalie Waller, Head of ABC Music & Events, was elected Chair of the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for a two-year term with immediate effect.

Waller is replacing Denis Handlin, former Sony Music Entertainment Australia & New Zealand Chairman and CEO who left the company last month, and his position on ARIA’s board of directors.

Waller has been a member of the ARIA Board of Directors since February 2019 and moved to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in the ABC Music Business Team in 1998. Appointed to her current position in 2012, she has worked across many genres at ABC Music and also works with ABC music brands including Triple j.

She is currently Vice Chair of the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA), was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Country Music Association (CMA) in January 2021, and is Chair of the CMA Australian Task Force.
