Jay Z’s Roc Nation to launch new multimedia model, EDITION

Roc Nation, an entertainment company founded by Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter, is launching a new brand and multimedia platform.

The new company, titled EDITION by Modern Luxury, is founded in collaboration with Modern Luxury Media and aims to “strengthen and raise the voices that shape popular culture”.

Roc Nation’s expansion into the media follows the company’s recent VR move after an unknown number of SENSO tokens were purchased by the $ 100 million US-funded Sensorium Corporation.

EDITION will be introduced in winter 2021 for print, digital, social and “experiential activations”.

According to a media release, “insider content and deeper audio and video storytelling” will be unlocked through hidden tokens embedded in the issues.

Isoul H. Harris has been named Editor-in-Chief and will work closely with Roc Nation EVP Strategy & Communications Jana Fleishman and the Modern Luxury Team.

Harris is the former editor-in-chief of UPTOWN.

He has also produced lifestyle digital content and experience programs for Morgan Stanley, Microsoft and American Express Platinum.
