New York-based content management, delivery and distribution company AudioSalad has launched a new music video delivery service called VideoSalad.

AudioSalad says the new platform “aims to simplify music video distribution,” delivering short music videos in SD, HD and 4K formats to Apple, Spotify, Amazon, Vevo, TIDAL, Facebook and more.

VideoSalad also provides services to assist with video encoding, preparation and style guide compliance.

VideoSalad can act both as a delivery service, where rightsholders have direct business relationships with DSPs, and as a distributor using VideoSalad’s distribution agreements.

Since its private launch last year, VideoSalad claims to have delivered thousands of videos for AudioSalad customers including ATO Records, Hopeless Records, Mad Decent, Mushroom Music Group, and more.

The service is now open to anyone who wants to place their video assets on DSPs.

“As digital service providers integrate video more into their offerings, we wanted to build a viable service that would enable rights holders to appropriately monetize their music video assets.”

Iain Catling, AudioSalat

Iain Catling, CEO of AudioSalad, said, “In our growing customer base, we were surprised that many have chosen not to deliver music videos because of the cost of ownership and complexity.

“As digital service providers integrate video more into their offerings, we wanted to build a viable service that would enable rights holders to appropriately monetize their music video assets.”

“We are very happy about VideoSalad. As always, AudioSalad recognized a growing need for its partners and created a great solution. “

Ian Harrison, Hopeless Records

Ian Harrison, General Manager of Hopeless Records, added, “We are very excited about VideoSalad. As always, AudioSalad recognized a growing need for its partners and created a great solution.

“The video delivery feature is reliable, easy to use, and helps us maximize our impact across multiple DSPs.”Music business worldwide
