Sony Music Publishing companions with Stockholm-based firm The Very Good

Sony Music Publishing has partnered with Stockholm-based The Very Good Music Publishing.

Under the deal, Sony Music Publishing will support the latter company’s catalog and expand global opportunities for its list of songwriters.

The Very Good Publishing is part of The Very Good AB (formerly known as Vivstilo), which was founded by Jakob Emtestam in 2011 and has since grown into one of the leading music management companies in Scandinavia.

The Very Good publishing arm was founded about two years ago with Director of Operations Manne Björkman, A&R Vice President Holly Astera, and A&R Partner and Vice President Dan Karlström.

Prior to launching The Very Good’s Publishing Arm, the company helped secure numerous global hits co-written by its songwriters, including Señorita by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, Stay by Zedd and Alessia Cara, Let You Love Me by Rita Ora and much more.

The Very Good Music Publishing recently signed hit songwriter producers Julia Karlsson and Anton Rundberg, the writers of The Business by Tiesto.

The company’s list has also had success with top artists such as BTS, Sting, Mø, Alan Walker, and Ava Max, as well as numerous prominent local acts.

The Very Good Music Publishing list also includes up-and-coming Scandinavian songwriters such as Hilda Stenmalm, Moa Pettersson Hammar, Gustav Nyström, Kristin Carpenter, Martin Stilling and Rasmus Budny.
