Scooter Braun and Troy Carter backed livestream startup Second Home names seven new key hires

Los Angeles-based live streaming startup Moment House, which launched in October 2020 with $ 1.5 million in seed funding, has named seven key new employees, including executives from Spotify, Apple Music and AEG Presents.

The platform’s launch round in October was led by Forerunner Ventures, and the company also secured angel investments from Scooter Braun, Troy Carter, Palm Tree Crew Investments (Kygo and Myles Shear), Jess Lee, partner at Sequoia Capital, Jared Leto, CEO of Patreon Jack Conte and more.

Sam Berger, who previously worked on Spotify’s Artist & Label Marketing team, has been named Head of Music.

Michele Bernstein has been named Marketing Strategist, moving from WME to Moment House.

In addition, Casey McCabe has been named Head of Live Music & Strategy from AEG Presents, while Dionte Goodlett has been named Director, Hip Hop and R&B Strategy and Partnerships and has been on Apple Music’s Label Relations team for the past seven years was.

Elsewhere, Randy Nichols has been named Director, Rock and Metal Strategy and Partnerships. Nichols previously worked as a Talent Manager at Force Media Management and Red Light Management.

The new hires are rounded off by Bart Coleman (previously Comedy Director at Spotify), who has been appointed Head of Comedy in North America, and Georgie Donnelly, who has been appointed Head of Comedy in the UK. Donnelly was a former comedy agent for United Talent Agency.

Moment House was founded in 2019 by Jimmy Iovine & Dr. Dre Academy for Innovation at USC and has hosted events by a number of artists including Halsey, Tame Impala, Kygo, Kaytranada, Yungblud, Grouplove, Bryson Tiller, Brockhampton and Flux Pavillion. Omar Apollo and more.

Artists earn 100% of ticket revenue, with Moment House earning a 10% service fee from fans.
