Paula Salvatore appointed Vice President of Consumer Relations and Studio Advertising at Common

Paula Salvatore has been named vice president of customer relations and studio marketing for Universal Music Group.

In this newly created role, according to UMG, Salvatore will oversee customer relationships, booking and studio marketing in the company’s US commercial recording studios.

Salvatore will remain based in Los Angeles and report to Patrick Kraus, senior vice president of recording studios and archive management.

The manager will also work with the studio executive team to develop and maintain UMG’s global strategy for recording studios.

Salvatore has been Vice President of Studio Administration and Sales at Capitol Studios for over 30 years and has been responsible for its operations since 1990.

The studio veteran played a key role in recording for artists such as James Taylor and Tony Bennett.

Salvatore also worked with Grammy icon Al Schmitt, Paul McCartney, Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Barbara Streisand and Frank Sinatra.

Before joining Capitol Studios, Salvatore ran Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California.
