Myanmar navy says junta chief to affix ASEAN summit: Nikkei Asia By Reuters

(Reuters) – A spokesman for the Myanmar military has confirmed that junta leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing will attend a meeting of Southeast Asian leaders over the weekend, Asia reported Wednesday.

Spokesman Zaw Min Tun said the military commander would attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meeting in Jakarta on Saturday, Nikkei Asia reported.

Zaw Min Tun did not answer calls from Reuters for confirmation of the report.
