LinkedIn Provides New, Free Certification Programs to Assist Showcase Your LinkedIn Advertising Information
As digital marketing skills become more and more in demand, LinkedIn has introduced two new, free LinkedIn Marketing Certification Courses that will both teach you more about LinkedIn’s advertising tools and options, as well as earn an official certification that you can then access on your LinkedIn website. Can view profile.
I mean, it’s not the most impressive certificate, and probably most people won’t laminate the PDF (which you can download) or frame it on their wall. However, it provides another way to showcase your knowledge of LinkedIn’s advertising tools, which could help you stay one step ahead of your professional competition.
As mentioned earlier, LinkedIn offers two certifications to demonstrate your platform expertise:
- Basic certification (Basic): Demonstrates experience in implementing LinkedIn advertising campaigns and tactics. With this certification, you can run successful LinkedIn advertising campaigns that drive business results.
- Marketing Strategy Certification (Intermediate Level): Demonstrates experience using LinkedIn Ads for full funnel strategies, including brand awareness and lead generation. Once certified, you can create marketing strategies that leverage the full suite of LinkedIn marketing tools.
The process of getting your certification involves first learning about LinkedIn’s ad products through a series of courses available on the LinkedIn certification page.
When you’ve gone through each module – or when you’re sure you know all the important details – you can take the relevant certification exam, which gives you 60 minutes to answer 60 multiple-choice questions in LinkedIn’s advertising tools and Processes.
You can repeat the test up to 3 times and the certification will expire in 2 years. And while you have 60 minutes, you can get it done in significantly less time if you know your way around.
If you pass the test, you can follow the steps to add certification to your LinkedIn profile to show visitors your knowledge of LinkedIn ads.
The test questions themselves are a bit mixed, at least in the ‘Basics’ test, with some obviously pointing to the correct answer under the options, while others require a good knowledge of the LinkedIn advertising system.
But the process is free, and you have three options – and at least, even if you fail the final test, you will end up learning a lot more about how LinkedIn ads work and how to create your on-platform campaigns.
And as mentioned earlier, with more focus on e-commerce and digital marketing over the past year, it can be well worth it to hone your skills and get official accreditation to maximize your future prospects.
Or, you can just do it to test yourself and see if you really know what you think about LinkedIn marketing.
