On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, Google will stop using Google Posts for people with verified knowledge panels. This has no effect on the local Google Posts that you manage in Google My Business, only on the verified knowledge panels.
The notice. Google has emailed those who have used this feature in the past that as of July 20, 2021, they will no longer be able to create new posts via Posts on Google or use the Authoring Tool to update knowledge on Blackboard. ” Google says you can download your posts and save them locally if you want.

History. In 2017, Google allowed some sports teams to add posts to their knowledge areas. This then added support to musicians and artists in 2018. And then Google added verification for knowledge panels in 2018, it opened up more.
Google My Business. As a reminder, this is independent of how Google Posts works in Google My Business. Google Posts don’t seem to be disappearing for local business panels.
Why we care. If you’ve used Google Posts in these Knowledge Panels to notify searchers of updates, changes, or new events, you should know it’s going to be discontinued. Google also only gives you 30 days to download your Google Posts history. So if you want to save it, make sure to download the data.
