Former One Path member Louis Tomlinson inks international cope with BMG for second album

Louis Tomlinson has entered into a global partnership with BMG for his second album.

Tomlinson sold over 100 million albums as part of One Direction. As a solo artist, his releases have generated over a billion streams.

For his second solo, Louis Tomlinson collaborated with the BMG album worldwide.

“I’m very excited to begin the next part of my journey with BMG,” said Tomlinson, who is currently recording his new album.

In 2020 Tomlinson released his multi-million dollar debut solo album Walls. It reached the top 3 in the UK and the top 10 in the US and included the singles Kill My Mind, We Made It and the first release of the albums Two of Us.

The album came three years after Tomlinson received the EMA Award for ‘Best UK & Ireland Act’. A year later, he won an iHeart Award for ‘Best Solo Breakout’ and was ranked 5th among emerging artists on Billboard.

In 2019 Tomlinson directed the Coca-Cola Music Festival in Madrid for 25,000 people and performed in front of 65,000 spectators at the Premios Telehit in the Foro Sol Stadium in Mexico City.

That same year, Tomlinson received the Best Song Award at the Teen Choice Awards for the single Two Of Us, which has so far generated over 100 million streams on Spotify.

In December 2020, Tomlinson ended the year with its charity live stream performance that sold over 160,000 tickets in over 100 countries.

The concert was one of the biggest live streams for male solo artists of the year, according to BMG, and raised money for the Fairshare charity and live event crews who were unemployed due to the pandemic.

In 2021, after his 2020 world tour was postponed, Tomlinson announced the first wave of scheduled dates for his 2022 world tour in the UK, Europe, the US and Australia, including a new date at London’s Wembley Arena.

Its first Wembley Arena show will take place on April 22, 2022 and additional tickets for the performance will be sold on Friday, May 14 at 9 a.m.CET.

“We are very excited to welcome Tomlinson to BMG.”
