The US Federal Reserve updated its inflation expectations for this year from 2.4% in March to 3.4% in its last meeting, which ended on June 16. To curb inflation, the Fed plans to make two rate hikes by the end of 2023.
This news has raised the DXY to its best level since mid-April. The price of gold, which generally has an inverse correlation to the dollar, has dropped to a 6 week low.
