PARIS (Reuters) – Air traffic will recover from the COVID-19 pandemic more slowly than previously expected as vaccination delays and government “risk aversion” slow market opening, global airline IATA said on Wednesday.

Global traffic this year will be 43% of pre-crisis levels based on passenger numbers and distances flown, the International Air Transport Association said, down from the 51% it forecast late last year.
