WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Four people were shot dead outside Nationals Park, a professional ballpark in the District of Columbia, Saturday night, police said.
The district’s Metropolitan Police Department had previously announced on Twitter that two people had been shot dead outside Nationals Park.
A follow-up tweet later said that “two other victims in connection with the incident went to the region’s hospitals for treatment for gunshot wounds.”
A baseball game between the Washington Nationals and the San Diego Padres was suspended due to the shootout. The game is to be resumed on Sunday.
